Learning Ebru

In addition to teaching Ebru techniques and traditional patterns, I also emphasize fostering creativity and the emergence of natural patterns that align with the student’s interests, level, and experience. This approach enables learners to promptly put into practice what they’ve learned on paper. Each input and experience adds to their confidence, fostering heightened creativity and enjoyment.

Will I cover all the essential skills?
Certainly, the lessons encompass various aspects targeting different skills: Color blending, tool usage, techniques, design, and more. Acquiring these proficiencies empowers you to craft both traditional and contemporary patterns, enabling artistic expression.

Specifically, what occurs in a class?
Upon selecting a course, you have the option to join the class individually or with up to 9 other participants. Following the introductory session, the course content will be presented, followed by practical exercises. At the conclusion of the class, you’ll have the opportunity to take your Ebru papers with you.

Will my mistakes be corrected?
Mistakes are a natural part of the learning process. The classes are deliberately kept small (6-9 participants) to facilitate not only hands-on practice and individualized guidance but also to foster learning from one another’s errors. Each participant receives ample practice time to work on the learning objectives. Should you desire more personalized feedback, you also have the option to enroll in supplementary private lessons

What should I expect?
Prepare to engage with the dynamic interplay of water and pigments in a novel manner. You can anticipate a vibrant engagement with colors. Keep in mind that Ebru can get a bit messy. It’s advisable to wear casual attire and comfortable shoes, as you may inadvertently get paint on your clothes during the process.
